Welcome our newest AVC Team member – Dr Vicky Stewart

Dr Vicky Stewart is an Advanced Vestibular Physiotherapist with a PhD in vestibular disorders. With over 12 years of experience in the field, Vicky has completed advanced training, regularly attends national and international conferences, assists teaching courses related to vestibular dysfunction and has published several peer-reviewed papers on vestibular physiotherapy.

At Gold Coast University Hospital, Vicky works as an Advanced Vestibular Physiotherapist running the Primary Contact Vestibular Clinics for Ear Nost Throat (ENT) and Neurology specialities and Secondary Contact clinics managing vestibular disorders post hospital presentation. Vicky works closely with Audiologists, ENT and Neurology specialists, leads clinical improvement processes, and regularly provides clinical consultation to the Emergency Department and Physiotherapists nationally.

Vicky received her PHD in vestibular physiotherapy from the Australian Catholic University titled, ‘Improving screening and management of vestibular disorders in the hospital setting’. Vicky has published 6 peer-reviewed papers, developed and validated the Vestibular Screening Tool (VST), and investigated the clinical effectiveness of a hospital-based vestibular service. Vicky has been invited to share her research at conferences nationally and internationally.
