Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT)
vHIT is an advanced instrumented technique we use to assist in diagnosing and assessing your vestibular function.
This equipment and technology is well supported in research to provide higher accuracy and certainty about the function of your vestibular system.
Our team of highly skilled vestibular physiotherapists are all competent in the use of this equipment and depending on your individual symptoms and issues, may choose to include this test and equipment as part of your assessment
The goggles themselves use a high-speed camera and in-built lasers and sensors to detect the speed of your head and eye movements to measure something called the vestibular ocular reflex (VOR), which keeps your vision clear when your head is moving.
